Dan Holland, Ambassador for the Florida Center for Cybersecurity (Cyber Florida)

Dan Holland Bio:

After graduating from the U.S. Coast Guard Academy, Dan began his career as a Federal Law Enforcement Officer leading at-sea boardings around the world and Commanding an 87’ Coastal Patrol Boat. After leaving the service, Dan spent 5 years at a Fortune 500 IT services company where he ultimately served as Chief of Staff to the SVP responsible for $2B in annual revenue. In 2017, he founded the consulting firm Arete Solutions {pronounced: ah-reh-tay} to help leaders in healthcare, government, and other critical infrastructure sectors make excellent decisions regarding their information security risks. Dan and his team of consultants and technical analysts surpassed $3M in revenue in their first 18 months by performing risk assessments; documenting plans, policies, standards and procedures; managing and staffing cybersecurity programs; and reselling enterprise hardware and software tools. Dan has directly led many of their client engagements, and currently serves as a Consultant for one of the 100 largest hospital systems in the country, Ambassador for the Florida Center for Cybersecurity (Cyber Florida), and on several nonprofit and advisory boards supporting cybersecurity initiatives and K12 education across Florida.
