Tamecka McKay, Chief Information Officer, City of Fort Lauderdale

Tamecka McKay Bio:

Tamecka McKay, Chief Information Officer for the City of Fort Lauderdale, is an industry certified IT professional with over 23 years of experience. She holds a master’s degree in public administration, a bachelor’s degree in technology management, dual associate degrees in Psychology and Computer Information Systems (with honors) and currently pursuing a doctoral degree in Public Administration at Nova Southeastern University.

Proudly serving the great City of Fort Lauderdale, Tamecka oversees the City’s Technology Infrastructure and Digital Services, including mission critical Public Safety Applications and Communications.

Before joining the City of Ft. Lauderdale, Tamecka was the Enterprise Infrastructure Manager for Broward County Public Schools, the 6th largest school district in the nation, and Information Systems Manager for the Town of Davie after starting as a Systems Analysts in 2001. 

Tamecka serves on several boards and is passionate about servant leadership, community engagement, and service excellence.
