Gladys Gonzalez Bio:

Gladys Gonzalez is a technology and business professional with 25 years of experience in Information Technology. Her areas of strength are leadership, analyzing and automating business processes in a large scale enterprise environment. Ms. Gonzalez has a strong aptitude across a large spectrum of technology management, including extensive experience in wireless platform, strategic project planning, architecture design, and requirements analysis for business process improvement.

Today, Ms. Gonzalez is the IT Director for the City of Doral, where she leads the strategic Smart City initiative. This transformation has begun by implementing a full-scale Digital Citizen Engagement platform that includes enhanced citizen access and services. Her leadership role includes efficiently utilizing our municipal infrastructure, human resources and massive volumes of collected data to improve services to our community. The technology roadmap includes the successful deployment of ninety six (96) Public Safety license plate readers and traffic cameras systems; the development of E-Government strategy to place additional services such as new applications for Parks which provides real time information to those that register for programs and our new 311 eServices platform focuses on ease of use for our residents.

As lead technologist, Ms. Gonzalez is working on Smart City strategies in which benefits range from enabling parking space availability, reduced traffic congestion to faster and more responsive emergency and public-safety services.

Ms. Gonzalez serves on the Board or Directors for South Florida Digital Alliance (SFDA) and has a Master’s of Business Administration (MBA) with specialization in International Business and a Bachelor’s of Science in Business Administration. Ms. Gonzalez holds the following certifications: • Certified Government Chief Information Officer Certification (CGCIO) • Public Records Management Certification • National Incident Management Systems Certifications
